I’m Not Supposed to Be Working Here is an everyday adventure about death and care for the elderly, about the mundane and the ugly. But it is also a story about the beauty and significance that can be found where you least expect it.
Moa is nineteen and wants to be an actress. She has just moved to Stockholm and needs a job. She gets an hourly position at the Liljebacken care home. She is completely shocked when confronted with death, bodily fluids and stressful working conditions. Moa devotes all her free time to trying to break into Stockholm’s theatre world, but it isn’t as easy as she had imagined.
I’m Not Supposed to Be Working Here is a tender and honest portrayal of the final stages of life.
