Malmö, 2000. Patrik Pánik is drawn to the ‘Reclaim the Streets’ protests that are spreading across the country. Through its slogans, the movement criticises a society that has always let people down, and Patrik, who has lived his life in confrontation, finds a context where resistance becomes a collective force. Letter from a Cell is a story of social heritage, social movements and how flight and aspiration meet at a crossroads during a few autumn months.

Henrik Johansson is an author, critic and writing tutor. Following his debut in 2013 with *Of Flesh and Blood* (Federativs Förlag), he has published the short story and poetry collection *Johansson’s Life, Joy of Work and Resurrection*, as well as the novel *Raya* (both Rastlös Förlag). He was also the editor of the Workers’ Writers’ Association’s acclaimed anthology *I Have Thought a Lot About Us and Our Exhausted Bodies*.
