In the winter of 2020, the Cyklopen cultural centre in Högdalen was contacted by a Copenhagen-based company. The company demanded payment for a photograph that had been used on Cyklopen’s website several years earlier. The photograph shows the first Cyklopen building burning down in an arson attack. The company works with copyright, or as they put it themselves, with ‘protecting an ecosystem of originality’. They had found the photo using an image-scanning algorithm.
