Tonya Melnyk from Ukraine will come to our bookfair to hold a presentation and also show some short films.
During this presentation you will be able to hear about feminist, anticapitalist and antiwar grassrout initiatives, groups of activists in Ukraine. Most of them are dealing with providing humanitarian aid to civilians and military munitions to fighters in Ukraine. Some of them also work with evacuating, helping displaced people and people in need all over Ukraine including occupied territories. Others are trying to safe their practices of resistance to a hetero-dominant, patriarchal society despite of the war. At the end of the presentation we will watch some films of Ukrainian artists and filmmakers.
The presentation will be held by feminist, anarchist, artist and queer person from Kyiv, Ukraine and will go on for 1, 5 hours. The presentation will be in English
